You're probably here because something about standard maternity care isn't sitting quite right. Maybe you're feeling overwhelmed by conflicting information, frustrated that nobody seems to have the time to answer your questions properly, or worried that decisions are being made around you rather than with you. Perhaps you're planning a home birth, considering a VBAC, exploring freebirth, or simply wanting to understand all of your options before making decisions about your pregnancy and birth.

Whatever has brought you here, you're in the right place.

I support women throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early postnatal period with honest, grounded, no-nonsense support. My role isn't to tell you what to do or make decisions on your behalf. My role is to help you understand your options, navigate the maternity system with confidence, and ensure you feel informed, respected, and supported every step of the way.

I believe birth works best when women feel safe, listened to, and fully involved in the decisions being made about their bodies and babies. That's why I take the time to really get to know you, understand what's important to you, and support you in a way that feels personal rather than clinical.

One of the most important things to understand about my role is that I work for you, not the system. I am not employed by the NHS, I don't answer to hospital policies, and I don't have an agenda about where or how you should give birth. My only priority is supporting you to make the decisions that feel right for you and your family.

That means helping you access evidence-based information, supporting you to ask questions, explore alternatives, understand your rights, and feel confident in the choices you make. It also means being a calm, steady presence when things feel intense, emotional, confusing, or overwhelming, and supporting your birth partner so they can fully support you too.

Birth can be beautiful, powerful, and transformative, but it can also be vulnerable and unpredictable. There may be moments when you're offered options you weren't expecting, when decisions need to be made, or when advocating for yourself feels difficult. Having the right support around you during those moments can make all the difference.

Every woman and every family is different, which is why I offer different levels of support depending on your needs. Whether you're planning a hospital birth, home birth, VBAC, freebirth, or planned caesarean, my aim is always the same: to help you feel informed, confident, and fully supported throughout the journey.

I intentionally limit the number of families I work with each month. This means I'm able to give each family the time, attention, continuity, and support they deserve.

When you work with me, you're not one of dozens of clients on a list. You're someone I genuinely know, care about, and show up for.

If you're looking for calm, experienced support and someone who will be firmly in your corner throughout pregnancy and birth, I'd love to hear from you.

As of 1 June 2026, I have availability to support four more families in 2026 and my diary is now open for 2027 bookings.

Welcome to my website

Congratulations, you're pregnant, but you don't need saving. What you do need is support, information you can trust, and someone beside you who genuinely understands how important this experience is to you.

About me

Hi, I'm Natalie.

I'm a birth doula based in the South of England, as well as a mother and grandmother, and I genuinely care about this work more than I can put into words.

Supporting women through pregnancy and birth isn't simply my job. It's something I feel deeply called to do because I know how much these experiences matter. The way you are treated during pregnancy and birth can stay with you for years. It influences how you feel about yourself, how you step into motherhood, and the memories you carry forward long after your baby arrives.

That's why I believe every woman deserves to feel informed, respected, listened to, and fully involved in the decisions being made about her body and her baby.

The support I offer is personal, consistent, and centred entirely around you. I intentionally work with a small number of families at any one time because I never want my clients to feel like another name in a diary. When we work together, you have my full attention, my energy, and the reassurance of knowing there is someone walking alongside you who genuinely knows your story.

One of the things that makes my role different from many of the professionals you may meet during pregnancy is that I work for you and only you. I don't work for hospitals, policies, targets, or guidelines. My role isn't to persuade you towards a particular choice or encourage you to follow a specific path. My role is to support you in understanding your options, navigating the maternity system with confidence, and making decisions that feel right for you and your family.

Advocacy is a huge part of what I do, but probably not in the way people often imagine. I'm not interested in confrontation or creating conflict. Instead, I help women slow things down when they feel pressured, understand what is being offered to them, ask the questions they may not know they can ask, and make decisions from a place of confidence rather than fear. You remain in control throughout. I'm simply there to make sure your voice is heard and your choices are respected.

Families often describe my support as calm, grounding, and reassuring. Some say I feel like a big sister, while others say I bring a steady, motherly presence into the room. However they describe it, what matters most to me is that you feel safe enough to trust yourself. Birth works best when women feel supported rather than managed, and that's exactly the environment I aim to create.

Being a doula is my full-time profession, and over the years I have supported women planning home births, hospital births, VBACs, planned caesareans, and freebirths. I have a particular passion for supporting women who are navigating complex decisions, questioning standard recommendations, or wanting to better understand their rights within the maternity system. Alongside my birth work, I have undertaken specialist training in VBAC support and have developed a strong understanding of the UK maternity system, helping women move through it with greater clarity and confidence.

Outside of birth work, I'm also a mother who home educates my youngest daughter. Family time, rest, and balance are incredibly important to me, and I protect them intentionally. It might seem unrelated, but it's actually one of the reasons I'm able to support my clients so well. I don't believe in running myself into the ground or being permanently exhausted. By protecting my own capacity, I can show up fully present, focused, and available for the families who trust me to support them.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: this is your body, your baby, and your birth. You deserve support that honours that.

If you're looking for someone who will be honest with you, stand beside you, support your choices, and help you navigate pregnancy and birth with confidence, I'd love to meet you.

The best place to start is with a Discovery Call, where we can get to know each other and see whether we're the right fit.

Testimonials

I have followed Nat online for a while now and recently reached out to her for support in my pregnancy after having a tough time in my last pregnancy and an extremely traumatic time postpartum with my daughter. Nat has been incredibly supportive and knowledgable, and although we are only just starting in our journey together I feel truly supported by her and I fully trust her, it’s clear she dedicates a huge amount of time and effort into researching and compiling information into the right places to help expected and new mothers. I 10000% recommend using Nat regardless of how much support you feel you need ❤️

Claireece March 2026,

planning a hospital VBAC,

2nd time mama

Natalie was an amazing doula and came highly recommended from a well known birth keeper. She was straightforward, down to earth and no nonsense which was exactly what I needed and a big worry of mine when choosing someone. She was a wealth of information and clearly cared very much about the process. My only regret is trying to be too independent and not using her more than I did/bringing her quite late into my process! She advocated for me when she was able to, jumped at any opportunity to help and was very respectful to my journey throughout.

Nat is the most amazing person! Honestly I don’t even know where to start. From the first chat we knew we wanted her to be our doula. She is open and completely non judgmental. She listens so well and was there completely throughout my pregnancy. She also understood that I had a fair grip on how I wanted my pregnancy to go to didn’t patronise me or anything and was very supportive throughout. Not only is she emotionally supportive and just amazing and lovely she also has a great knowledge of biomechanics of birth as well as legislation and policies and when I needed support with hospital correspondence she wrote me a fantastic email. At the birth she was literally the best. She stepped back when needed and let me get on with it, she suggested things when needed and completely read my body and the room right at every moment. she understood how much I have faith in my body and baby and was very knowledgeable about natural things that help in labour which as movements and after care. I chose not to have a lot of midwife support during the pregnancy and after and having Nat made me feel completely held and supported. Nat is a part of my family now and wouldn’t have it any other way!

I had my dream birth because of Nat. Words can't express my gratitude and love for this beautiful lady. Nat eased my fears, was there for me when I was having difficult times, educated me, loved on me and went absolutely above and beyond in every way. Nat is so knowledgeable in her field and covered every detail of the birth and my choices with me. I only wish she had been with me for my first birth! If you are thinking about having a doula at your birth, think no more. Having Nat with me was the best decision I've ever made and even a week post birth I am on a high and in awe of this process and what I was able to achieve with Nat as my support. Nat will be a friend for life and my whole family are eternally grateful to her. She is absolutely bloody brilliant. Thank you for helping me believe in myself and my ability to birth. My biggest dream come true.

Planned a homebirth, had a freebirth

I am beyond grateful for my doulas and the incredible support they gave me throughout my pregnancy and birth. Thanks to their guidance, encouragement, and calm presence, I was able to have an amazing home birth in a water pool—something I will cherish forever. They helped me feel informed, confident, and truly supported every step of the way. I never felt alone or unsure; their knowledge and reassurance made all the difference. I couldn’t have asked for a more empowering, beautiful birth experience, and I highly recommend Natalie to anyone considering a home birth or water birth.

Alex November 2025,

planned homebirth, had her homebirth

3rd baby

I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to Nat, because she has been nothing short of extraordinary throughout my entire pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum journey. From the moment we met, I feel we connected instantly, house on fire comes to mind. Our values aligned so naturally, and I just knew she was the doula for me.
Nat wasn’t just a support figure; she became like a fiercely protective big sister. She held me emotionally through every worry, every fear and every late-night question. She reassured me, again and again, that my second birth wouldn’t mirror my first traumatic experience and wow, she was right. I felt safe because she made sure I was in fact safe.
My labour was fast and intense but even amongst the chaos, Nat protected and held my space so beautifully yet powerfully. She advocated for me, asked the right questions to the professionals when I couldn’t, and kept everything around me as calm and focused as possible. She encouraged me, supported me and empowered me. She also guided my partner so he knew exactly how to step up for me when I needed him most.
Postpartum, Nat continued to show up with the same love and care. She took home my placenta, made me placenta smoothies and delivered them to my door as and when needed. She cared for both my girls so I could shower and take a moment to breathe, and simply “got me” in a way only someone truly aligned can. Her presence was reassuring, it was comforting, and genuinely nurturing.
I cannot recommend Nat enough. She isn’t just a doula, she is a true blessing. If you are lucky enough to have her by your side, you will feel held, seen, supported, and empowered to have a birth that honours your woman’s body and your innate strength. I’m forever grateful for her.
